The herbicide forms a protective barrier on the soil surface, preventing weed seeds from germinating and emerging.
Mode of Action
Oxadiazon acts by inhibiting the enzyme protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO), which is essential in the biosynthesis of chlorophyll in plants. This inhibition disrupts the development of weed seedlings by causing cellular membrane damage, leading to their death before they emerge.
