This product is ideal for use in cereal crops like wheat, barley, oats, and rye, as well as in pastures and non-crop areas.

Mode of Action: Metsulfuron-methyl works by inhibiting the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, crucial for the synthesis of essential branched-chain amino acids in susceptible plants. The inhibition of this enzyme disrupts cell division and plant growth, leading to the death of target weeds.

Application Rate:

• Cereals (Wheat, Barley, Oats, Rye): Apply 5-10 grams per hectare during the early post-emergence stage of the crop (2 to 4-leaf stage) and when the target weeds are at the seedling stage (1 to 3-leaf stage). Ensure uniform coverage for maximum efficacy.
• Pastures: Apply 10-15 grams per hectare to control a range of broadleaf weeds. The ideal time for application is when the weeds are young and actively growing. Avoid applying when pasture legumes are at the seedling stage.
• Non-Crop Areas: Use 15-20 grams per hectare in non-crop areas such as roadsides, fencerows, and industrial sites to manage unwanted vegetation. For tough perennial weeds, higher rates may be required.

Mixing Instructions:

• Fill the spray tank with half the required amount of water.
• Add the appropriate quantity of Metsulfuron-Methyl 600g/kg while agitating the mixture continuously.
• Once fully mixed, add the remaining water and continue to agitate until the solution is uniform.
• Use the mixture immediately after preparation.

Precautions:

• Avoid application under extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain or high winds.
• Do not apply this product to crops stressed by drought, disease, or extreme temperatures.
• Ensure that the spray does not drift onto non-target plants or sensitive crops.

Re-Entry Interval:

• Do not enter treated areas until the spray has dried completely. If early entry is required, wear protective clothing, including gloves and footwear.
